NaradSandesh।।फरीदाबाद, 5 मार्च,2024: जे.सी. बोस विज्ञान एवं प्रौद्योगिकी विश्वविद्यालय, वाईएमसीए, फरीदाबाद के महिला प्रकोष्ठ (आंतरिक शिकायत समिति - आईसीसी) द्वारा विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं के अमूल्य योगदान और उपलब्धियों को मान्यता देने के लिए अंतर्राष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस के उपलक्ष्य में एक विशेष कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया गया।
कार्यक्रम में डीएवी सेंटेनरी कॉलेज, फरीदाबाद की सेवानिवृत्त प्रिंसिपल डॉ. सविता भगत सहित शिक्षाविदों और सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं की भागीदारी रही, जिसमें श्रीमती सुनीता सिंघल और श्रीमती जयमाला तोमर प्रमुख रही तथा अपनी उपस्थिति से इस अवसर की शोभा बढ़ाई। कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता कुलपति प्रोफेसर सुशील कुमार तोमर ने की। आईसीसी और महिला प्रकोष्ठ की अध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर नीलम तुर्क ने आयोजन के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। इससे पहले, कुलपति प्रो. तोमर तथा अतिथियों द्वारा जगदीश चन्द्र बोस की प्रतिमा पर मल्यार्पण किया गया तथा महिला दिवस पर केन्द्रित छात्रों की चित्र प्रदर्शनी का अवलोकन किया।
पारंपरिक दीप प्रज्ज्वलन के साथ कार्यक्रम की शुरुआत करते हुए कुलपति प्रो. सुशील कुमार तोमर ने सभी को अंतरराष्ट्रीय महिला दिवस की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएं दी। इस अवसर पर बोलते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि महिला दिवस समाज में महिलाओं के योगदान उपलब्धियों का मान्यता देने के अवसर के रूप में मनाया जाता है लेकिन इसका असली सार प्रतिदिन महिलाओं के योगदान को स्वीकार करने में निहित है। प्रो. तोमर ने सामाजिक प्रगति में महिलाओं की महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका पर बल दिया और राष्ट्रीय विकास की आधारशिला के रूप में महिलाओं के सशक्तिकरण को महत्वपूर्ण बताया।
प्रोफेसर तोमर ने समाज में महिलाओं को महत्व देने की समृद्ध भारतीय परंपरा और मंगलयान एवं चंद्रयान सहित हाल के अंतरिक्ष अभियानों में महिला वैज्ञानिकों के योगदान का उल्लेख किया। उन्होंने कहा कि जब भी महिलाओं को अवसर दिए जाते हैं, तो वे उत्कृष्टता और नई ऊंचाई हासिल करती हैं। उन्होंने प्रसन्नता जताते हुए कहा कि विश्वविद्यालय में छात्राओं का प्रतिनिधित्व 60 प्रतिशत तक है।
डॉ. सविता भगत ने अपने संबोधन में, रोजगार क्षेत्र में महिलाओं की भागीदारी बढ़ाने के लिए लिंग-संवेदनशील रोजगार नीतियों की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया। जैविक संरचना के आधार पर महिलाओं को दी गई भूमिकाओं का उल्लेख करते हुए उन्होंने सभी क्षेत्रों में महिलाओं को सशक्त बनाने के महत्व पर बल दिया। व्यावसायिक सिनेमा में महिलाओं के वस्तुनिष्ठ चित्रण की मानसिकता को बदलने के लिए उन्होंने इस दिशा में सामाजिक बदलाव की वकालत की। उन्होंने महिलाओं से इस परिवर्तनकारी बदलाव का नेतृत्व करने का आह्वान किया।
श्रीमती जयमाला तोमर ने महिला सशक्तिकरण की भावनाओं को दोहराते हुए इस बात पर बल दिया कि महिलाएं समाज की आधी आबादी हैं और उन्हें अपनी अंतर्निहित शक्ति का उपयोग करना चाहिए। उन्होंने महिलाओं को केवल चुनावी वादों तक ही सीमित न रहकर अपनी सामाजिक स्थिति को ऊपर उठाने वाली पहलों में सक्रिय रूप से शामिल होने के लिए प्रोत्साहित किया। उन्होंने ‘गंगा की दुहाई’ शीर्षक से अपनी कविता के माध्यम से लैंगिक संवेदनशीलता पर अपने विचार रखे, जिसे सभी के द्वारा सराहा गया। कार्यक्रम के सफल आयोजन एवं समन्वयन में आईसीसी सदस्यों प्रो. लखविंदर सिंह, डॉ. शैलजा जैन, डॉ. अनुराधा पिल्लई, डी. प्रीति सेठी, रेनू डागर और आरती सिंह ने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई।

JC Bose University celebrated International Women's Day
The program welcomed esteemed academicians and social activists, including Dr. Savita Bhagat, Retired Principal of DAV Centenary College, Faridabad, along with Smt. Sunita Singhal and Smt. Jaimala Tomar, who graced the occasion with their enlightening presence. The event was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar, with Chairperson of ICC and Women Cell, Prof. Neelam Turk, highlighting the significance of the celebration. Earlier, Prof. Tomar and other dignitaries garlanded on the bust of Jagadish Chandra Bose and took a round to the photo exhibition by students focused on Women's Day.
Commencing with the traditional lighting of the lamp, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar delivered a heartfelt address, extending warm greetings on International Women's Day. He emphasized that while the day serves as a reminder to celebrate women's achievements, the true essence lies in recognizing and valuing their contributions every day. Prof. Tomar stressed the pivotal role of women in societal progress, advocating for their empowerment as a cornerstone of national development.
Reflecting on the rich Indian tradition of honoring women and citing their remarkable contributions to recent space missions like Mangalyaan and Chandrayaan, Prof. Tomar underscored the importance of providing women with opportunities to excel and reach new heights, noting that female students constitute 60 percent of the University's representation.
Dr. Savita Bhagat, in her address, shed light on the roles assigned to women based on biological differences, emphasizing the need for gender-sensitive employment policies to enhance women's participation in the workforce. She stressed the importance of empowering women in all spheres, advocating for a societal shift away from objectifying portrayals in commercial cinema, urging women to lead this transformative change with widespread support.
Smt. Jaimala Tomar echoed the sentiments of women empowerment, emphasizing that women form half of society's population and should harness their inherent strength. She encouraged women not to be relegated to mere election promises but to actively engage in initiatives that uplift their societal status. Her poignant recitation of the poem 'Ganga Ki Duhai' resonated with all attendees, inspiring a collective appreciation for women's resilience and spirit.
The seamless coordination of the program was made possible by the dedicated efforts of ICC Members Prof. Lakhwinder Singh, Dr Sheilza Jain, Dr Anuradha Pillai, D. Priti Sethi, Ms Renu Dagar and Ms Arti Singh ensuring a memorable and impactful celebration of International Women's Day.
