कार्यक्रम का उद्घाटन कुलपति प्रो. सुशील कुमार तोमर और मुख्य अतिथि डॉ. भीमराव अम्बेडकर विश्वविद्यालय, आगरा के प्रो. संजीव कुमार ने किया। इस अवसर पर डीन साइंसेज और गणित विभाग की अध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर नीतू गुप्ता और दिल्ली विश्वविद्यालय के ऑपरेशन रिसर्च विभाग से विशिष्ट वक्ता प्रोफेसर अनु जी अग्रवाल उपस्थित रहे।
उद्घाटन सत्र के स्वागत भाषण में प्रो. नीतू गुप्ता ने कार्यक्रम की संक्षिप्त जानकारी दी और बताया कि गणित केवल हमारी पाठ्यपुस्तकों का एक विषय मात्र नहीं है बल्कि, यह एक ऐसा उपकरण है जो हमें वास्तविक दुनिया की समस्याओं को हल करने में सशक्त बनाता है। उन्होंने छात्रों को गणित की शक्ति को पहचानने की सलाह दी। उन्होंने बताया कि दो दिवसीय आयोजन में क्विज, पोस्टर मेकिंग, रंगोली जैसी विभिन्न प्रतियोगिताओं का आयोजन किया जा रहा है, जिसमें एमडीयू रोहतक, अग्रवाल कॉलेज बल्लभगढ़, रावल इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंजीनियरिंग एंड टेक्नोलॉजी, सरवती कॉलेज, पलवल जैसे संस्थानों से कुल 69 टीमें हिस्सा ले रहीं है।
कार्यक्रम को संबोधित करते हुए प्रो. एस.के. तोमर ने गणित के गहन प्रभाव पर बल दिया तथा रामानुजन की प्रेरक विरासत का वर्णन किया। कार्यक्रम के मुख्य अतिथि प्रोफेसर संजीव कुमार ने वॉशिंग मशीन तकनीक में फग्गी लॉजिक के उपयोग जैसे विभिन्न क्षेत्रों में गणित के व्यावहारिक अनुप्रयोगों पर प्रकाश डाला।
प्रोफेसर अनु जी अग्रवाल ने डेटा विश्लेषण पर विस्तृत चर्चा के साथ शैक्षणिक पहलू को उजागर किया। इंदिरा गांधी विश्वविद्यालय, मीरापुर (रेवाड़ी) के प्रोफेसर सुरेश यादव ने भी सत्र को संबोधित किया तथा ब्रह्मांड विज्ञान पर अपने विशेषज्ञ विचार साझा किए। कार्यक्रम का समापन पर गणित विभाग की रामानुजन सोसायटी के छात्रों को प्रमाण पत्र और स्मृति चिन्ह वितरित किये गये तथा प्रो.नीतू गुप्ता सभी का धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन डॉ. रीना गर्ग और डॉ. शशि शर्मा सहित विभाग के संकाय सदस्यों द्वारा किया गया।

JC Bose University organizing two-day event to mark the birth anniversary of Srinivasa Ramanujan
Faridabad, 24 January – The Department of Mathematics of J C Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad in collaboration with Haryana State Council for Science, Innovation and Technology, organized a two-day event to mark the 136th birth anniversary of the genius mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan which is celebrated as National Mathematics Day in the country. A series of activities have been organized by the Department including lectures of eminent speakers and other student related activities.
The Program inaugurated by the Vice Chancellor Prof. S. K. Tomar and Chief Guest Prof. Sanjeev Kumar from Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Agra. Dean Sciences and Chairperson of the Department of Mathematics, Prof. Neetu Gupta and distinguished Speaker Prof. Anu G. Aggarwal from the Department of Operation Research, University of Delhi, were present on this occasion.
In the welcome address, Prof. Neetu Gupta provided a concise overview about the program and explained that mathematics is not merely a subject in our textbooks; rather, it is a tool that empowers us to solve real-world problems. She advised students to recognize the beauty and power of mathematics.
She apprised that the Department has received overwhelming response from various colleges, with a total of 69 teams registering from institutions such as MDU Rohtak, Aggarwal College Ballabhgarh, Rawal Institute of Engineering and Technology, Sarawati College, Palwal in different competitions like Quiz, Poster Making, Rangoli etc.
Addressing the program, Prof. S. K. Tomar emphasized the profound impact of mathematics and narrating the inspiring legacy of Ramanujan with the audience. The Chief Guest of the event, Prof. Sanjeev Kumar shed light on the practical applications of mathematics in various fields like the use of Fuggy logic in washing machine techniques.
Prof. Anu G. Aggarwal further enriched and enlightened the academic aspect of the audience with a detailed discussion on data analysis. Prof. Suresh Yadav from Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur (Rewari) also shared his expert view on Cosmology with the audience. The program ended with distributing Certificates and Mementos to the students of Ramanujan Society of Department of Mathematics and a vote of thanks by Prof. Neetu Gupta. The program was well coordinated by the Department faculties including Dr. Reena Garg and Dr. Shashi Sharma.
