इस दौरे के माध्यम से, छात्रों को टीवी स्टूडियो, नियंत्रण कक्ष और समाचार कक्ष में उपयोग किए जाने वाले उपकरणों के कार्यों का व्यावहारिक अनुभव मिला। छात्रों को क्रोमा कीइंग और वर्चुअल सेटअप से भी परिचित कराया गया जहां कार्यक्रमों का लाइव प्रसारण किया जाता है और टेलीप्रॉम्प्टर की कार्यप्रणाली के बारे में भी बताया गया। छात्रों को प्रोडक्शन कंट्रोल रूम, वीडियो मॉनिटर वॉल, वीडियो मिक्सर, ऑडियो मिक्सिंग कंसोल और डीवीई (डिजिटल वीडियो इफेक्ट्स) के बारे में संक्षेप में बताया गया। छात्रों ने एमसीआर (मास्टर कंट्रोल रूम), सर्वर रूम और समाचार चैनल के कई अन्य महत्वपूर्ण अनुभागों का भी दौरा किया। छात्रों ने टीवी स्टूडियो, विज़ुअल उपकरण और न्यूज़रूम से संबंधित नवीनतम तकनीकों का पता लगाया।
छात्रों को न्यूज़ 24 के कर्मचारियों से मिलने और बातचीत करने का भी मौका मिला। चैनल के कर्मचारियों ने छात्रों को समाचार चैनल और डिजिटल दुनिया में कैरियर के अवसरों के बारे में भी बताया। यह दौरा छात्रों के लिए समृद्ध और सार्थक था, क्योंकि उन्होंने समाचार चैनलों के महत्व के बारे में सीखा और उनके काम और संरचना को समझा। अध्यक्ष ने छात्रों और संकाय सदस्यों के प्रयासों की सराहना की और भविष्य में छात्रों के लिए और अधिक औद्योगिक दौरे आयोजित करने का वादा किया।

Industrial Visit to News 24 News Channel, Film City, Noida
Faridabad, 12 March – The Department of Communication and Media Technology of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, organized an industrial visit to News 24 news channel for media students on 11th March 2024. The visit was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Bharat Dhiman, Assistant Professor of the department. The visit was organized under the guidance of Dr. Pawan Singh, Chairperson of the department. The purpose of the visit was to give students an understanding of the structures and working of the news channel. This visit provided a valuable opportunity for the students to immerse themselves in the dynamic world of journalism and media.
Through this visit, students got real working environment, gaining firsthand practical exposure to the TV studio, control room, and functions of equipment used in the newsroom. Students were also introduced to the chroma keying and virtual setup where live transmission of programmes is done; the working of a teleprompter was also explained. Students also explored the Production Control Room and were briefly explained about working a Video Monitor Wall, Video Mixer, Audio Mixing console, and DVE (Digital Video effects). Students also visited the MCR (Master Control Room), Server room, and many other important sections of a news channel.
Students also got to meet and interact with the News 24 staff. The staff of the channel also enlightened the students about invaluable insights into the nuances of news gathering, reporting, dissemination and career opportunities in the news channel and the digital world. Students explored the latest technologies related to TV studios, Visual equipment, and newsroom environments. The visit was enriching and meaningful for the students, as they learned about the importance of news channels and understood their work and structure. The chairperson appreciated the student's and faculty member efforts and promised to organize more industrial visits for students in the future.
