पाठ्यक्रम के तौर-तरीकों और इसकी पूरी रूपरेखा पर चर्चा के लिए विश्वविद्यालय द्वारा बैठक का आयोजन किया गया, जिसमें स्कोडा ऑटो फॉक्सवैगन इंडिया के सहायक महाप्रबंधक मोहन उबाले, डीन (इंस्टिट्यूशन) प्रो. संदीप ग्रोवर, डीन (शैक्षणिक मामले) प्रो. आशुतोष दीक्षित, परीक्षा नियंत्रक प्रो. कोमल कुमार भाटिया, मैकेनिकल इंजीनियरिंग के विभागाध्यक्ष प्रो. अरविंद गुप्ता, प्रिंसिपल (सीसीएसडी) डॉ. संजीव गोयल, बी.वोक ऑटोमोबाइल के सहायक प्रोफेसर विमलेश ओझा सहित विश्वविद्यालय के अधिकारी ने हिस्सा लिया।
इससे पहले कुलपति प्रोफेसर सुशील कुमार तोमर ने मोहन उबाले का स्वागत किया और विश्वविद्यालय और स्कोडा ऑटो वोक्सवैगन इंडिया के बीच शैक्षणिक सहयोग की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि शैक्षणिक संस्थानों और स्कोडा ऑटो वोक्सवैगन जैसे उद्योगों के बीच परस्पर सहयोग अक्सर दोनों प्रतिभागियों के लिए लाभप्रद होता है। यह छात्रों को व्यावहारिक अनुभव, इंटर्नशिप और अनुभवों के अवसर प्रदान करता है, जिससे उद्योग को भी अपनी जरूरत के अनुरूप कौशल कार्यबल प्राप्त होता है।
बैठक के दौरान प्रोफेसर संजीव गोयल ने पाठ्यक्रम को लेकर जानकारी साझा की। उन्होंने बताया कि इस पाठ्यक्रम का लाभ प्रासंगिक कार्य में न्यूनतम तीन साल का अनुभव रखने वाले डिप्लोमा धारकों को होगा, जिन्हें पूर्व शिक्षण की मान्यता (आरपीएल) उपरांत दाखिला दिया जायेगा। इसके तहत, योग्य डिप्लोमा धारकों को केवल एक वर्ष में पाठ्यक्रम पूरा करने का अवसर मिलेगा जबकि बी.वोक (बैचलर ऑफ वोकेशन) पाठ्यक्रम की अवधि तीन वर्ष की होती है। इस पहल का उद्देश्य शिक्षा जगत और ऑटोमोटिव उद्योग के बीच मौजूदा कौशल एवं शैक्षणिक अंतराल को खत्म करना है।
बैठक को संबोधित करते हुए मोहन उबाले ने कहा कि स्कोडा ऑटो फॉक्सवैगन अपनी ब्रांड वेल्यू के अनुरूप सेवाएं प्रदान करने के लिए प्रतिबद्धता है। अपने डीलरशिप सेवा केंद्रों में चुनौतियों को स्वीकार करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि अक्सर कुशल कामगारों को उच्च शैक्षणिक योग्यता न होने के कारण कैरियर प्रगति में बाधाओं का सामना करना पड़ता है। इसके समाधान के लिए ही इस पहल की शुरूआत की जा रही है ताकि ऐसे कुशल कामगारों को अपनी योग्यता अनुसार बढ़ने और वैश्विक मानकों के अनुरूप प्रशिक्षण प्राप्त करने का अवसर मिल सके। इससे न केवल ऑटोमोटिव उद्योग के सेवा केंद्रों में कार्यबल का क्षमता निर्माण होगा बल्कि यह भी सुनिश्चित करता है कि वे वैश्विक स्तर पर ऑटोमोटिव उद्योग में अपेक्षित मानकों को पूरा करें। बैठक के दौरान प्रो. संदीप ग्रोवर, प्रो. आशुतोष दीक्षित और प्रो. कोमल कुमार भाटिया ने भी पाठ्यक्रम के व्यावहारिक पहलुओं और इसके उद्देश्यों की पूर्ति को सुनिश्चित करने को लेकर बहुमूल्य सुझाव दिये।

JC Bose University's Community College to start one-year B.Voc in Automobile Servicing
- The course under the RPL framework is designed for skilled professionals working in the service centres in the Automobile Industry
Faridabad, 2 February – The Community College of Skill Development (CCSD) of J.C. Bose University of Science and Technology, YMCA, Faridabad, in association with Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited, has taken an initiative to start one year Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc) course in Automobile Servicing under the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) framework. The course is specially designed for the skilled professionals working in the service centres of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited, responsible for the business operations of five automotive brands in India, across the country.
The modalities of the course and its complete framework were discussed in a meeting which was attended by Mr. Mohan Ubale, Assistant General Manager, SKODA Auto Volkswagen India Pvt. Ltd, and the University officials including Dean (Institution) Prof. Sandeep Grover, Dean (Academic Affairs) Prof. Ashutosh Dixit, Controller of Examination Prof. Komal Kumar Bhatia, Chairperson, Mechanical Engineering, Prof. Arvind Gupta, Principal, CCSD, Dr Sanjeev Goyal, Mr Vimlesh Ojha, Assistant Professor, B.Voc Automobile.
Earlier, the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sushil Kumar Tomar welcomed Mr. Mohan Ubale and acknowledged the academic collaboration that has been established between the University and Skoda Auto Volkswagen India. He said that such collaboration between educational institutions and industry players like Skoda Auto Volkswagen is often seen as mutually beneficial. It provides students with opportunities for practical exposure, internships, and real-world experiences, enhancing their education with hands-on knowledge.
Prof. Sanjeev Goyal, during the meeting, shared valuable information about the initiative and highlighted the implementation of the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) framework, specifically for diploma holders with a minimum of three years of experience in relevant work. Under this framework, a traditional three-year B.Voc (Bachelor of Vocation) course is being streamlined to allow qualified diploma holders to complete the program in just one year. The objective behind this initiative is to bridge the existing gap between academia and the automotive industry.
Mr. Mohan Ubale, in his address, emphasized SKODA Auto Volkswagen's commitment to delivering services aligned with its brand values. He acknowledged a challenge within their dealership service centres, where skilled professionals may face limitations in career progression due to a lack of higher qualifications. In response to this, a new initiative is being introduced to address this issue. This initiative is to provide these skilled professionals with an opportunity to enhance their qualifications and receive training that aligns with global standards. This proactive approach not only supports the professional development of the workforce within the service centres but also ensures that they meet the standards expected in the automotive industry globally.
During the meeting, Prof. Sandeep Grover, Prof. Ashutosh Dixit, and Prof. Komal Kumar Bhatia actively participated by making valuable submissions aimed at enhancing the practical aspects of the course and ensuring the fulfilment of its objectives.
